Josie Iselin is a fine art photographer and book author passionate about the natural world around her. Josie is intent on looking closely at the objects of our world and asking how we can learn both about and from them.  She uses her scanner exclusively to make portraits of seaweeds, beach stones and other treasure she finds at the beach. Her fine art prints and trade books let the fantastic of the familiar speak to us directly. Josie has found a nexus where art and science converge in the world of marine algae and her newest book, The Curious World of Seaweed: Stories from the Pacific Coast, takes a deeper dive into this ocean universe. It will be published in August 2019 by Heyday Books.
